Im going out with this boy that is 18 but im 16 I really like him does anyone think I should care what my mother thinks it's my relationship not her's . He's really nice and never disrespected hr but I just can't seem 2 tell her that we are dating 4 some reason someone help please !!
My mom didn't like the fact that I was dating someone older than me, he is a year and a half older than me. She wanted me to break up with him. I didn't. She fought me about it until about a month before he and I got married. Now she accepts him. I didn't hide it from her after like the first month. I told her and she was mad about it but she never really stopped me from seeing him. She did one month bc she grounded me but other than that she never stopped me. Just made it hard for me to see him. I don't know if this helps or not. I would tell her. She is bound to find out sooner or later though. If you really think you love him, and are really happy with him, then just sit her down and tell her that you are dating him and that he is really nice and you are happy. Ask her to give him a chance, and try to get to really know him before she really says yes or no...
