How do I make my own chat site?

I want to know how to make my own chat site >.< but I dunno how. I dont want it to be like the little text bubbles I want it to be like zwinky or imvu. So it wud be kool if someone cud tell me what I needed itd be awsome!! Lemme no if you no how plzz

Hi,

Well you will need to know a programming language…php, ruby on rails, html. I’m not entirely sure of the coding, but once you pay for a website to be hosted (from a hosting company), you can begin to program the site to be what you want. It’s not something simple like copying from another :)
