How do I get my a social site blog to show up on a skinny layout?

I got a new a social site layout that I absolutely adore. The only problem with it is that it doesnt show my blog. I have my poems on there that my friend like to read, I want to be able to have the layout but also be able to see my blog. Is there a code out there I could use?
