how do I do independant living?

so, im 16. and I do want to move out. I know my friend did when he was 16 and he is now 17 and gets paid a certin amount of money each month from the governement… I want to know how I can get this. where do I find out. I’ve tried to look for info but I cant find it… please help

Answer #1

I would suggest you start by looking up the meaning (and spelling) of independence. Oh the irony! (you may need to look that one up too)

Answer #2

I would suggest you get a job somewhere and save some money 1st. Don’t count on the gov to pay your way. If you depend on the gov then that will give them more power to change the way you live. Screw that!!

Answer #3

why do you want to move out and live on your own?

give us a grown up, mature, adult reason, and we will help you.

Answer #4

How nice… you want to move out and become dependent on the government for your support. I’m sure the other tax-payers will be lining up to thank you. Way to become a burden on society.

Stay with Mom and Dad for a little while longer. It’s more affordable that way. GET A JOB, save some money, and pay for your own independence. If you want to be an adult, pay your own way. Don’t dive in head first and expect others to bail you out- that’s a typical selfish teenage move.

Answer #5

Ask your friend how he got it.
