How do I check my internet usage?
We just got this new wireless router and we’re using up our internet usage really quick. I want to know if I’m going onto sites that are downloading things onto my computer. Does anyone know how to check my uploads and downloads. I use a Mac OSX, so if anyone knows please help.
If you can access your router, usually that information can be found there.
If you have a wireless router that does not have WEP enabled, I highly suggest that you enable it. If it’s not enabled and you don’t have to enter a security code in order to connect, that means no one else has to either. So, other people could be using your internet up and could be the cause of your internet usage being used up so quickly. If you’re not sure how to enable it, call up your ISP (internet service provider) and ask them to help you.
If the router is NOT from your ISP, check your user manual that came with it. You could also Funmail me and let me know all of the information. I’d be happy to help you.
