How do I ask out the guy I like?

Seriously. I am socially re*arded. I really want to talk to this guy at my school. He is higher on the so called social ladder. I know we have alot in common. He is very cocky, that makes it hard for me to talk to him half of the time, he is around his friends alot. I want to ask him out, but I am too afraid to. Please Help!

first i would start with dressing up that day do ur hair and everything if u dont already do that then just when ever u catch him alone go up to him and try to talk to him just normally like u would ur friends and then just be towards the end of the conversations “maybe we should hang out sometime”
