How can I write neater?

Lol, I dont think that’s necessarily true? I’m 23, I work at a high school and the teachers think my passes are fake… I.e. my handwriting is so bad it must be a kid’s… Yes, I’m serious, it happens constantly… It’s a running joke in the office. Anyways… from one bad handwriter to another, the only thing that helped was writing really slowly and focusing on each individual letter. But if it was a test or whatever, forget it. Honestly, I think my teachers took it for granted that I had the right answer, and they’d just mark it right most of the time even if they couldnt read it. If you can type it, try that. Write slowly. Otherwise, honestly, I have never been told that I couldnt submit something due to poor handwriting..

Im a teacher and while marking peoples work you have to try to interpret some of the students writing. This ends up as a guess to what might be their and can cause points to be lost. This is an issue that you should try to work on before its to late. The point of writing is to allow your thoughts to be read and understood by others. Keep working at you neatness, as you dont want to be a running joke!

I would identify what is messy about your writing. Do you need to increase the size, or is it the shape of you letters that makes it messy? Are you trying to write to fast, are you linking or not? Make sure you are comfortable when writing, you want to have a straight back and your feet on the ground. This is so after long periods of writing you don’t get long term back problems. I would practice my pen movements by exaggerating the size, shape and slopes of letters on scrap paper. I would do this over and over to get the use to the movement. I would try to ensure my links to each letter is correct. Linking will allow your speed of writing to increase, which will be necessary when work loads increase.

teachers will except your work. I know someone who had a medical condition that didnt allow him to write neat, and he just carried around a laptop and a thumb drive

Try not to write so fast.. make sure it’s big enough for them to read (most guys write so small I need to keep a magnifying glass handy) lol..
