how can I tame my crazy frizzy knotty hair?

im mixed with african american and caucasian and I wanted to know how I can tame my hair. I love my curls but sometimes my hair can be frizzy, poofy, and dry. my hair is really soft. when my hair is wet, its beautiful but once my hair drys its a pain in my butt. I always love straightening my hair but the ends get frizzy and it gets poofy. is there anything I can use on my hair that will keep my hair soft but will let me ware it down and curly and not frizzy or poofy or knotted? AND is there anything I can use on my hair for when I streighten it to where it will look like caucasian peoples hair( soft, moves easily, combable, shiny, beautiful, not poofy, not frizzy.) thanks sooo much 4 your help!

omg1 same problem right here =] haha im all white tho =] but I have suuuper curly hair, and it can get poofy too. and I know what you mean about once it drying being like “bleh, ugh, gr”
so what I do, it when im in the shower I wash it everyother day, but I do get it wet and somtimes still do conditioner, but never shampoo everyday. its strips your hair of natural oils, and keeps it from being hydrated. then when I do condition it (everyday) I leave it in while im washing my face, ect. after I brush it out, (still in the shower) when im out I put in a leave in conditioner while its wet and brush it through (im not sure what its called but I think its “infusium” or somthing similar to that. then I put in random stuff or whatever I happen to have ex: right now I have ‘treseme curl mouse” other times I use “osis” and ect then I let it air dry! =] I also never blow dry it unless im in a hurry and its soaking wet, otherwise I use a towel and dab it. and I also rarly straighten it, , infact I’ve only straightened it 2 times in my life haha so if you follow this, it should stay pretty tame =] haha at least mine does, to an extent =]

hope it helps and good luck!

I suggest buying a straightning comb, the kind you put on a stove, however I dont suggest the ones you have to plug up.. they dont seem to get as hot. and to buy some pressing oil to put in your hair before you press it.. it prevents your hair from being burned and keeps it looking straight longer(there are some water proof pressing cremes also) I use blue magic pressing oil but there are many other cheap kinds that work.

the Youtube link is just showing how straight your hair can get from the comb. and the web plus link is of the pressing oil.

im not sure if flat irons work for you, but they dont really work for me. and relaxers often break some people’s hair off.

GOOD LUCK … I hope I helped ;)
