How can I stop this feeling?

I feel so rejected sometimes. It’s like I dont fit in with everyone. I try to talk, try to be funny and all that, but people just ignore me, which is why I don’t have the confidence to talk to people anymore, because I feel rejected.

I do have friends that I joke around a lot, but we’re not like, REALLLYYY close you know. We’re just close, if you get what I mean. Like we only meet at school or if we’re not busy. The closest I’ve got is my mum. Even my cousins, I feel like they’re drifting away. I don’t understand, I don’t know whether it’s me or not. Sometimes I just want a friend to talk to about anything, even if its at 3 in the morning. Someone to talk to, to joke with and all that you know? Someone who’s comfortable with the way I am. My only brother’s away for 9 months so it’s just me and my mum at home. I feel really lonely I just need to laugh a bit. What do you think I should do? :(

I totally understand. I feel the same way, I have friends but not really close friends. Sometimes I wish that I could have more friends who are like me. I get depressed about it sometimes but im just happy that I have my sister to talk to..she’s like my bestfriend. But I incourage you to just join clubs and get involved with people your own age..and just be yourself. That’s the most important thing, but good luck to you. :)

I really feel the same ,im a quiet guy and boring I got no friends ,only school mates and just like you I try to talk and be funny but I dont feel welcomed around them , im know at college ,,for spending the whole day alone , but I cant help it .and I have been close to death sometimes because of this , but now im learning to accept it

I know how you feel and it is tough awkward even, maybe you are trying to hard to impress people, instead of relaxing and being yourself. Perhaps you could try to cultivate one of your existing freindships a little more, maybe join a club and meet new people with similar interests.
