How can I make $1,100 by winter?

I’m in the school band and for our tour this year, we are going to Ayers Rock. The thing is, the cost is $1,100 , but my parents wont give me much money. They said if I want to go, I have to deposit some money towards it. (I think they want me to pay half or more) So, I was thinking that I could go to the local mall (our mall only has a Coles in it, and some other shops) and set up a fundraiser. So, I could get a table and a money box that says ‘Help me get to Ayers Rock!’ and people would give donations. But, mum and dad will say no. What else can I do to raise that much money by Winter?

It is Valentines day on Sunday, ask one of your parents to get you 3 x dozen roses at Coles (will cost them $25 per dozen) and then YOU go out on Sunday and sell each rose stems for $5 or $10 each…Guaranteed the guys will be forking out the money on their girlfriends and wives on the day. . :)

P.S. make sure you don’t sell them inside the shopping centre otherwise the centre security will kick you out as you don’t have a licence. Just sell them outside the shops or even at a park where there are lots of couples having their picnics.
