How can I lose my thighs?

I’ve had “thick” thighs all my life and now I would like to lose them and make them smaller and toned. I have started on my gazelle for the past 4 days for 40 minutes each time. If anyone has any help please, please help me?

Answer #1

Swimming would be good being that I live on the beach, but just finding the time in between working shift work is difficult. Thanks for replying.

Answer #2

Stretch first, but i would suggest running, and biking. Make sure you strech a lot before doing any work out because you can pull a ham string… as i have done… thus this puts you back on the couch for a while.

Might be hard. Thick thighs might be muscle and not just fat. A friend of mine had thick thighs all her life too, and she was never able to get rid of them, as they were more “fleshy” than “fatty”.

If yours are fatty, then lots of squats, running and so on, will help to slim them down.

Good suggestions are: running, biking, jogging in place, treadmills. Anything to focus on the thighs would be good. Here’s a link with some practical excercises: http://magazines.ivillage.com/goodhousekeeping/diet/fitness/articles/0,,284557_528350,00.html

If you really want to do it you will find the time… I always work out for like 30 mins to an hour at night no matter how tired I am. You don’t have to start out with running and biking… start out with sit ups or something and work your way to running on the weekends. Maybe get a bike that goes in your room those stationary ones, biking will make you sweat a lot which is good. You can also put on sweats which will help. You will have to push yourself to see results, and you won’t see results for 3 weeks or long depending on how much you push. Its hard to workout w/out results. But you can do it.

Answer #5

Swim for long periods of time, it works on most of your body parts.

Answer #6

swimming is more difficult than biking or swimming, you get tired out easier.
