How can I get this particular hairstyle?

Okay so I watch this show called Skins. It’s a UK show. Some of you probably don’t know it. But anyways there’s this character called Effy and there were some episodes of the show she has her hair in a way that I really like but can’t seem to do. I have two photos of what it looks like on my profile page. I’ve tried to do it so many times but I can’t seem to get it right. My hair won’t work with me. I know it must involve some teasing. I have very thick hair and I need specific instructions on how to do it. Like, how much teasing should I do? For anyone that can help, thanks a lot!

Theres also little plastic pieces that you can buy I seen them on telly a few times I cant remember what there called though..But anyway they help get the volume in the hair because its really hard to get it that high without super thick hair… Xo:)

Eh.. If you like it, that’s all that matters.

Get a volumizing shampoo and hairspray/mousse and just tease it until you think its right. There’s no particular way other than that.

Trust me. I do hair.
