oh oh I think im with ya now… it can be used for scanning documents to backup important info onto paper, cus as we know… paper doesnt bloody crash haha
Computer Scanner are very handy if a person knows how to use it properly. you can use to it send sumone’s picture or scan a document and mail it to someone or far more better using OCR you can edit a document and make necessary changes easily.
Other Scanner which are being used they are for the security purpose like barcode system, Metal dedector, drugs, money, explosives etc.

Since you didn’t say what type of scanner, you can also use barcode scanners to help automate checkout, inventory, etc.
