How a bill becomes a law for kids?
Think 3's. The federal and state governments are divided along common lines,I.e., legislative, judicial and executive. The legislative responsibility is to pass laws. The excutive enforces the law and the judicial oversees the activities of the other two grooups and acts as the court. For a bill to become a law the legislative branch of the government must vote on it. If enough members of that branch think that is a good bill, then they should vote on it, pass it, and if necessary, vote to override any veto by the president or governor.
