Answer #7

the bottom line is Felons will have a hard time finding work thanks to Homeland Security. They have employers scared to death to hire anyone with a criminal background even moreso if it is a felony. I think there should be a law that says once a person has served out their sentence they should have a new start. After all commit a crime you get punished, once you payback the punishment why is it fair to keep you down? Its discrimination to not hire you because you have a felony unless the crime is related to the job. Example if you rob banks and you got caught, you cant work at a bank. But if you Rob banks and got caught it should not stop you from working anywhere that monetary transactions are not taking place.

Answer #8

I disagree with you savanna. I am a convicted felon and my crime was sexual. I was lied to when it came to her age. I admit I should have did my research as well, but I’m a good person. I made a mistake. I have nine years behind my past offense free and I am going to college working on a Degree in Business. A felony is a felony, PERIOD! don’t discriminate one crime from another. Everyone deserves a second chance. Even murderers if they hurt one person. I can see not giving a chance to repeat offender’s. That makes sense.

Answer #9

I think that most jobs should not even ask that, I think that the only thing that people should ask is sexual and has something to do with drugs or killing. other then that I would leaving it alone. everyyone in the world makes mistakes but we dont hold your agaist you. so tell me why we should even help you guys and be nice if you all cant even give us a job
