How do I open up the buddy list?

on aim, how do you open up the buddy list if it doesnt automatically pop up? my friend just joined and she cant figure it out, and I dont know how. so we cant chat!!

Is it the web-based application, or did she download it?

If it’s web-based, there’s a launch button on the website, but if it was downloaded, then it will be in her start menu under “programs”.
