What's the BEST HD TV for Sunday football watching?

What do you think is the best TV for Sunday football enjoyment? I’m talking the best in terms of picture quality, size, features etc. The whole nine yards…no pun intended. LOL Any suggestions?

Okay, many variables that you would have to consider as there are different technologies that handle what you see on the screen in different ways. For sports, nothing beats Plasma technologies. Plasma has the capabilities of showing razor sharp fast motion with great contrast. The cons are that they use a lot of power so your energy bill will be higher, they produce quite a bit of heat, are really heavy and more thick than LCD’s

The next choice would have to be an LED LCD with 120hz or 240hz they are almost as good as Plasmas for sports and the high refresh rate its what you are looking for when getting one of these sets for sports. The LED backlit will provide better color uniformity and contrast and are really bright for daytime viewing. The images for sports on some segments may still look a little blurry during intense sport action but only noticeable if you are really looking for it and with the high refresh rate sets then its not that much of a problem.

Of course remember to get a 1080P panel for the highest resolution and to stay with the big brands like Sony, Sharp, Samsung and LG. Vizio is also really good.

Stay away from non LED LCD. It uses an older cathode light technology to light up the panel and will not look as real as LED and the backlight will not last as long as LED lights. I will include a link to a good Plasma and then a link to a good LED LCD.

Answer #2

This would be the one LED LCD around the same price as the Plasma with a refresh rate of 120Hz.

Answer #3

Higher refresh rate will make fast action sports look as good as in the Plasma but it comes at a more expensive cost for the same screen size. If you want to get a good set for sports in a brightly lit room then this is a good choice.

Answer #4

An included feature and the higher cost is also due to this set being a 3D HDTV. Pair it with a 3D Blu-Ray for 3D movies at home.

Answer #5

If you have big money and want something amazing that will blow you away for a little under $3000 then this is what you want. Cinema at home.
