Does anyone know of haunted homes in their area?

I used to live in Southern Cal and I just heard a crazy story of this home if its true.

Back in florida we had a guy who hung himself in his front yard like 30 years ago because his wife left him. They didnt get his body down till the next morning. Anyone who moves there lives for like 6 monthes before they flip and move. Been that way as long as i can rember and they just now cut down the rest of the rope he left behind. they say if you take a picture in front of the tree you can still see his face crying and streaming with blood in the shadows:), another house not to far away in the same area this young coupld lived in and when there 2 yearold daughter died they got deppressed and couldnt pay there bills so when they got the notice to get evictied they tried to trash the place tore down a few walls. At some point in the night part of the roof caved in and killed both of them. And about 10 years ago two kids were digging a cave type thing in the back woods about a mile from my old house and it caved in killing one boy but the girl and other guy had just been out of the way and they say you can still hear him screaming late at night:)

No, I don’t believe in haunted houses, rather the human imagination running wild and exaggerating what it wants to believe UFO’s ? of course. But aliens from other galaxy’s? No. (governments testing top secret aircraft)

ereuseto be this half burnt down house near where I lived…When I first moved in the neighborhood, the other kids said it was haunted. So, I went to the house and stepped inside. It was not haunted, or scary. Raher sad actually, thinking about who could have been in there when it burned to the ground.

Yes. Infact I used to live in one. When I was 6 I used to see a man that would stand in my door way and watch me until I fell asleep. I told my parents who knew I wasn’t making a big deal out of a shadow (I’ve always been mature for my age). Though, I didn’t find it scary ‘cause I was only little. Then one day Mum and Dad were washing dishes when they both heard and seen a girl out of the corner of their eye run down the hallway. They yelled at me for running in the house before realising I was outside and there wasn’t another person in the house. Even though we found it creepy, we went along with our lives before moving years later. Then we coincidentally moved into a house in the same street several years later and met the people who had moved into our old house. They bought up the subject with Mum one day saying their 2 year old son claims to see a man in the corner every time he goes to sleep.

I used to live in St. Louis which supposedly has a rich history of hauntings, the most famous being the Lemp Mansion. It was the home of the family who created the Lemp Brewery as a rival to Anheuser-Busch. I can’t remember the exact story, but I believe members of the family committed sui.cide in the mansion as their brewery began to fail and eventually closed down. The brewery and mansion are still downtown, and people actually pay to eat in the mansion and stay the night. I have friends who swear it’s haunted; supposedly glasses move in the bar and ghosts still walk in the hallways of the mansion. I moved to a different city and supposedly one of the buildings on campus is haunted. It’s a creepy old mansion and of course my roommate parked her car in front of it, so if we need it we have to walk by the house.

I used to live in San Diego so I am no stranger to Southern Cali, and I watched this show about some freaked out home with spirits which drove the family out in terror, and again if it’s true, well to this day there are several homes on that same street that neighbors have all left and are still vacant. The whole story is pretty frightening

Answer #10

Whoa! That is too weird, but would you stay the night in that mansion? My mom told me some creepy family myth I am still not to sure whether to believe it, but all her brothers and sisters to this day swear that it is a true story.

Answer #11

D: How did you stay in that room at not freak? I mean most people, even mature ones like you said, would have gone screaming from the room.

Answer #12

Well it is the season.

Answer #13

Yea once a home gets a reputation like that even on flimsy evidence and unsubstantiated rumors, you lose maybe the actual story behind the so called “haunted home” in a neighborhood.

Answer #14

I definitely wouldn’t. I’m not even sure that I believe in ghosts, but I still wouldn’t do it out of fear :O I’m sure you know what I mean by this; if people you trust swear it’s true, it makes you wonder.

Answer #15

Oh yea that is my mom to a tee, well you have seen those horror movies when that one person always says “there is nothing to be frightened about”, and then they are the first ones to die lol. I will just say my mom didn’t raise any dummies :)

Answer #16

lovvvvvvve them

Answer #17

I was scared at first but I’ve always been a firm believer in the paranormal and I knew they wouldn’t hurt us. I find it more frightening now than I did when I was a kid though.
