Has anyone heard of Herbalife?

Herbalife is a company that sells stuff consumers buy like weight loss products, soap shampoo, etc. They are asociated with online businesses and home businesses. Have you seen the crazy fox commercial, well if you respond to that commercial they contact you trying to get you to create your own business by selling there products. Have you heard of this, or made any money using this business?

Herbalife is a pyramid scheme (or multi-level marketing if you prefer) like Amway and Mary Kay. In general it is rather difficult to make much money unless you are high up on the pyramid.

Basically you sign up as a distributor to sell their stuff and you make profit on everything you sell but the person who signed you up gets a cut of your profits.

You also get a percentage of the profits of anyone you sign up.

One of the come-ons for these schemes is that once you sign up enough distributors you can quit selling and just collect big royalty checks from all the people you signed up. They make it sound like after a few years of hard work you will be set for life and can retire.

The problem is that there are only so many suckers to buy these products. The nature of pyramid schemes is that most members loose so a few can get rich.

I’ve heard of it. A lady came to our house to try and sell us the products. I for one think that it is very expensive. Besides if you really want to be healthy or lose weight there are many simple ways to do so that are a lot cheaper.
