Well that depends on how musically inclined you are as well. A ukulele, in my opinion is a good starter stringed instrument if you don;t want to just step up to a guitar. I would say go for it, they can be a lot of fun.

if you already play guitar or some sort of string instrument, it will be pretty easy. if not it should still be remotely easy, nothing too complicated. and with a lot of practice you’ll be great in no time :)
