How can I get my hair to the way it used to be, without spending a lot of money?

My hair is frizzy, somewhat coarse, dry, and not exactly curly, but wavy. I want it to be soft, smooth, and sort of straight. I don’t want to spend a lot of money, and to get it straight, I don’t want to straighten it with a flat iron. Whenever I straighten it with a flat iron, it only damages it. Straightening and dying my hair is what made it dry, frizzy, and coarse in the first place. What can I do to make my hair the way it was before I ever dyed it, or straightened it? It used to be soft, smooth, and somewhat straight.

Well it’s not going to happen fast. You have to start taking care of your hair, stop straightening it and over using styling products. Also, I don’t follow it, but you’re only supposed to wash your hair every other day, so it keeps its natural oils, that may help. And if you can spend a little money, go to a stylist and ask them what a good leave in conditioner would be or something.

Also, your previous question is asking how you should die your hair purple. If you bleach your hair and dye it, obviously that’s not going to help. Stop dying it. Is it so hard just to grow out your natural colour so your hair doesn’t feel like crap?

Answer #3

You can get hot oil treatments and deep conditioning treatments for a fair price at walmart, using one once a month will dramatically help your hair to stay moisturized and help with the frizz. For an every day fix, make sure your using a shampoo and conditioner made to condition the hair. Aussie brand - Moist works so good and has an amazing smell. When you get out the shower and your hairs wet apply a leave in conditioner and dry your hair with a round barrel brush to help straighten it.

Yea, I think I am going to change my mind about dying it. I am really thinking about letting my natural color grow out, and leaving it that way. :) thanks.

Answer #5

I am using Suave Professionals 2 in 1 Smoothing Shampoo, for dry or damaged hair, pro-vitamin formula to cleanse and condition. Is this good to use? It’s $2 a bottle, and that’s all I can afford right now. :/ How much is the Aussie brand?

Answer #6

Also, how much is the oil treatments and deep conditioning treatments?
