how do you connect the microphone on xbox 360 for the game guitar hero as it doesnt seem to work

I mean on the side, I have a 360… theres another plug in… theres three two in the front and one on the side… but its not in the back your right.

you have to have a another piece to connect it to… or theres a place in the back to plug it in.
