Going to college?

Will it be hard to go to college with a baby? I’m 18 and I have a 8 month old daughter, and I’m enrolled in a community college one hour away. My baby’s staying with my parents, is that the best thing to do? Even though I wont see her often?

I assume your life will be pretty busy..? Are you going full time or part time?

It is definitely true that it’d be hard to support yourself and your kid with only a min wage job, so college comes in handy there. It’s suggested that you know what you’re doing before you spend your money too much, unless you’re just going to be doing something straightforward and simple, where.. in that case, it’s not really a worry. Just be faithful to your priorities.

If you have enough time where you don’t have to go to school or study, be around your kid. Love and appreciate the life you have brought to this earth. Oh.. and be sure to do nice things for your parents so they feel appreciated too. =) They’re doing nice things for you if they’re taking care of your baby while you’re gone.

It’s also good so that you don’t become too overwhelmed, to figure out some simple and quick things to brighten your day a bit and have some time for yourself. Like, my friend suggested this to me while I was having a hard time - just even to paint your nails, if that’s something you don’t normally do or if you stop doing that.. or getting acrylics or something… painting is cheaper lol yknow that but hmm.. or to go on walks to keep you more fit… and that helps you mental health too. You could go around with your baby if you want. =)

But ya go get em haha… do great in college and be a well-rounded mother. =)

I think you’re doing the right thing by going to college. It will allow you to give your daughter the life she deserves and needs and she’ll love you so much more for it when shes old enough to understand. You’re being a good mom. And your parents are amazing for keeping her while you’re at school. A lot of people whould be lucky to have parents that supportive and helpfull. So yes, I think you’re doing the right thing, just be with your baby every chance you can. =]

Family does come first. And you going to college is putting your baby’s future first, she will have a better life if you can support yourself. Yes, it will be hard to go to college with a baby, but you’ll be home after school right? As long as you’re there everyday spending enough time with her, the time spent at school will be worth it…
