Answer #1

This sounds twisted/evil - drama doesn’t have to be exhibited that way.

read the script and make sure you understand the story. then read your lines, and imagine how your character would speak and act out thoese lines. then think of how you’d feel if you were in your characters situation!! a good thing to do is to ask your drama teacher a little about your character… just to know his personality… then you make the character your own!

Answer #3

Yeah, you really should talk to the school counselors about this. It is inappropiate for young adults such as yourself, to play such a disturbint part. If I were you, I’d decline the part and make sure you tell your teacher that you feel it isn’t a good thing to dwell on, much less act it.

Answer #4

…why would any drama teacher have a 14 year old girl playing a 46 yr old man?

There is NO way to “successfully” pull that off. The only successful way… is to make it a comedy and be campy about it.

Answer #5

Haha..well was it an assignment that you’re making up to peform in front of your class or something? We do that often in drama. My teacher always goes on about not becoming the typical steriotypes, he said that it’s what young people often do. We immeditely think of a character with strong traits or a strong situation that is easy to think of.. like pregnancy, drugs, prostitution. He’s constantly telling us off about it =] I agree with Sika.. no other way but to make it humorous because it’s such a steriotypical character.
