Frequent bathroom breaks.. sorta

Recently I lost my virginity to my boyfriend about 4 months ago. We usually have sex about 2 to 3 times a week since then. We’re been both check for STDS and all that other fun stuff and we checked out clean so we dont use a condom because… well its a lot better without it. We use the pull out method (yes I know.. not a smart way of doing it) and I noticed that I’ve been having to pee a lot more lately.. but its more like pressure on my hips which I think is making me feel like I have to go. Its not a lot of urine coming out but the feeling that I have to is a lot. I have gotten my period regular so I dont believe im pregnant. Im stressing completely over this. Is it normal to have pressure, making me feel like I have to peee after shortly losing my virginity and keeping it consent? or maybe theres a chance im pregnant?

After a lot of sex it’s common to get a bladder infection, which can be easily cured with a course of antibiotics from the doctor. A long time ago they used to call it “honeymoon cystitis” because typically that’s when a woman would start having sex, and a lot of it…

To prevent it from happening in the future, always try to urinate after sex and it will prevent bacteria travelling up around into your urinary tract.

Good luck - go to the doc’s and expect to give a pee sample…

Edited to add: the first symptom of a bladder infection - you feel like you have to go frequently and hardly anything comes out. As the infection progresses, you may feel some discomfort while peeing. For immediate relief, stop drinking anything with caffeine, and start drinking tons of water (4 cups a day). That will flush through your kidneys and bladder.

If you miss a period then you should get a pregnancy test at the pharmacy to know if you are pregnant.

As for the bladder problem (having to pee) if it is accompanied by pain or a burning sensation while peeing then you should go see a doctor as soon as possible because this could be an infection and would need antibiotics.

If you are feeling no pain then it could be related to the fact that you are new to having frequent sex. To avoid these type of problems make sure that you and your boyfriend wash before and after having sex. Avoid non natural or scented soaps. Always have enough foreplay to be well lubricated and if you get sore stop having sex until you feel better.

Last but not least, there are many other ways to avoid being pregnant that do not involve a male condom and would reduce the risks of pregnancy. For example, there is the sponge, spermicides, sterilet and many others.

The best thing to do would be to visit your gynecologist and talk to them about it. As you might know, now that you are having sex you should get a yearly check up to ensure you are healthy anyhow. They can also give you advice on your bladder problem.
