How come if I post on someone's wall or w/e I can't edit it? it always says "you are forbidden to edit this post"?
There are things that can be said that are possibly harmful or inappropriate. The advisors and admins need to be able to see the original post to determine whether or not it is against the site guidelines.
If you change the original that someone has made a complaint about, we can't see it anymore and we no longer have evidence that any rules were broken.
It's for control purposes and to make sure no abusers are hanging around.

There IS a two hour time period after posting, where members CAN edit their posts in threads. Then the option is removed. The PROBLEM is, in the comments section (on a members profile), those controls STAY there, and NEVER work.
