Finding a Job in Illinois

I saw a blog here about where a felon can find a job. I was convicted of a felony and actually was lucky enough to find a job during my probation period. Unfortunally I got laid off. My job duties was payroll manager. Although I was convitcted of a felony and went back to work thereafter, with letters of recommedation from the company, I am still unable to find a job. I need to work, I am sinking further into debt and have a child. If anyone know’s how to go about getting a job after I have paid my dues to society and have worked after conviction, please let me know. God Bless and thank you to anyone who can give advise pertaining to my situation. People do change and should be given a second chance.

The best chance you have of finding a job - is looking for privately owned businesses. Big corporations don’t have a choice when it comes to hiring felon’s - they have rules they have to follow. A private owned business makes up their own mind about whether they can hire a person or not.
