"You get what you settle for" Louise from "Thelma and Louise"
Most people work jobs they don't like. A few have jobs that are a mixed bag; things they like about it and things they don't. Very few people have anything even approaching an ideal job. I view an ideal job as one so fulfilling that you would do it even if you didn't need to work and were not paid.
Many people go through a few career changes before they land the job that really makes them happy. I've gone through forensics, and have even become a chef before ending up working here, on FunAdvice, which, as it turns out, is the best job I've ever had.
By starting with what they love doing and having the guts to do it. I also find that personality tests such as the meyers briggs give you a good indication about your aptitude and interest without you maybe realising it.
