Excrutiating Stomach Pain

Hi, I’m 36 years old and have been suffering from the worst stomach pain ever for the past year. I have 2 kids and the pain is equal to giving birth! I normally get the pain in the morning when my stomach is empty but I have had it a few times in the evening. The pain is so bad, I can’t breathe, walk or talk. I was diagnosed with Helibactor Pylori and have been on antibiotics to kill the infection 4 times. Nothing seems to work. My GI dr ran a endoscopy on me and showed no signs of an ulcer. He says I have severe gastritis but it just doesnt seem normal to me. The pains are so bad when I’m having them I feel like I’m going to die. Anyone have any idea what this could be? I don’t have a gall bladder because it was removed, I eat healthy, no one seem’s to be able to properly diagnose me. It’s right on the top of my stomach.

Thanks guys for all your responses. baldwinwolf- Neurologist sounds like a great idea, thanks! Phrannie-they tested me for chron’s and IBD- & Dr say’s it’s not that. :-( At this point I wish It was just so I know what’s causing the pain. I won’t give up, I’ll keep going for different opinions & hopefully they’ll find what it is. Keep ya posted!

well u’ve obviously been to allot of doctors and got lots of check ups so the one thing you can do is pray cause all those other things aren’t helping like you want them 2 so just ask god to be there and to help you find something that can help you through this. ask him to work his amgic and his power. and you should just pray about it every night or when ever you feel like it cause god can heal u.

Ditto baldwinwolf…go to another Dr…and another if you have to…nobody should feel they’re supposed to suffer like that…Has anyone mentioned anything about Crohn’s Disease to you? or IBD??

your pain may be getting “referred” from another location, and from another condition other than your GI tract.

I would not settle with the pain- go to another doctor until they track down the cause- it could be something neurological- so a neurologist may be a good place to start.

to stomachpain36 I too have suffered for over 2 years with excrutiating stomach pain. I was in the hospital last month and the ran test after test and said everything was normal. I was diagnoised with ibs back in 2004. But this pain is like you said unbearable. I also have had 2 children and this pain in so much worse. I do have back related problems but until today I didn’t know that the upper back was linked to the stomach and the intestines. I went to a pain specialist and told him everything that has been going on. To make a long story short. I have a pinched nerve in T6 which is causing all this pain. I am gonna start on injections next week. I hope this will help you..
