Why am I energetic at night but lightheaded during the day?

I started having this problem in High School, I’ll admit I stay up sometimes but there is times where I sleep early too but I’ll alway seem to have this problem and it needs to be fixed. Today I wanted to do some homework so I slept early the night before & got up early, ate breakfeast but I couldn’t do my homework still because I was very lightheaded, tired and all I felt like was going to sleep and no matter how I tried, I just couldn’t focus and it’s frustrating but later around 6pm I started feeling better where I can do my homework and it’s just weird cause it always does to me. But yeah I started drinking water more often and eating more but that doens’t always seem to help help, and I can’t exercise cause I’m currently on crutches. so what else can I do to fix this problem? and what is the cause of this problem?

instead of goint to bed early once in a while, go to bed early more often until your body gets used to it. In my opinion, what’s going on is the fact that your mind is used to the fact that you’re up at night and all full of energy and everything… and then come during the day is your down time. You have to retrain your body to the sleep schedule that you want so you don’t end up feeling that way during the day. I have gone through this… I used to work overnight and sleep at 7am… now I have been switched and I work at 7am… the exact time I used to sleep. It’s not an easy transition, but you can do it, no doubt about it.
