If you're a teenager and starting to drive, will your insurance rate be lower if you get good grades in school?

I heard that if you get good grades in school the insurance company thinks that you’ll be better on the road..

Answer #1

Many insurance companies will offer a better rate to students who hold a 3.0 GPA or higher and can show a conscientious attitude and mature judgment.

You can also help reduce your rates by taking a driver’s education course and owning (or driving) a reliable-type vehicle (not a sports car).

Answer #2

No. I’ve never heard of that. But who knows maybe some insurance companies do that.
