Why don't my downloaded ringtones work on my RAZR?

I recently got a Moto RAZR V3, and one of my friend told me about this site where I could get free ringtones… Both of my friends present signed up for it (They had different phones), as well as I, and in a few seconds we got a text message with our ring tones attached. They opened theirs without a problem, but for some reason, mine didn’t have the option to store the ring tone.

I was wondering if it was just that the company didn’t want anyone buying ring tones that weren’t from their stores, or what..?

Hi,

There are a few things that could be it…first of all, your phone has to support WEP…second, it has to have 3G..both options that some phones don’t have, although I’d assume the Razr would…

Another thing is that some phones only support certain formats (for instance, mine doesn’t take Mp3 but it takes M4a and AAC…)

I’d look in your manual and call your phone provider just to make sure your phone has all of these things supported. And also try different file formats :)
