dog stomach
my pit just had 2 puppies 14 hours ago her stomach is still hard and looks swollen is this normal>
Wouldnt it take more than 14hours for the stomach to go down :s like a human:S
I’d say take her to a vet like phrannie said, if there isn’t any more puppies inside, then she is probably swelling. BUT TAKE HER TO THE VET. If I was you, I wouldnt want any dead puppies.
Did you take her into the Vet’s for an unltra sound to see how many pups might be coming?? Sometimes a female will quit laboring, because they are too tired…even if there are more pups to be born. Is she accepting the two pups? Letting them nurse, etc?? If not, I’d be taking her into the Vet to make sure there aren’t more pups in there.

two puppies for a pit litter sounds like there should be more to come, she may just be taking a break, however you should have taken her to the vet for x-ray then you would have known how many to expect
