Yes, it does. I’m a recovering drug addict (xtc being one of the main ones).

Xtc, uses up the seratonin your brain, the chemical that makes you happy. When you come down from roll, your seratonin is depleted, that’s why many users go through a depressed stage after using. After a long period of use - your body will stop producing the chemical when it can not keep up. I am currently on medication because of my heavy use of xtc in the past.

Also, many people die from Dehydration or Water Intoxication while on xtc. You are either not drinking enough and can die from it, or you drink to much and can die from it.

Also you do not “see stuff” or hallucinate from xtc. If that is occuring your pills are laced with another halluciginic drug and it makes it even more dangerous, because you have NO CLUE what you are putting into your body
