Who do you dislike more, Joseph Stalin or Adolf Hitler?

Regardless of how i feel about Hitlers views and ideas the man was a genius and anyone who can get that many people to follow him on their own free will and agree with such radical views in my eyes is to be admired because hes smart as hell.

stalin he was a complete idiot. I don’t know what was on his mind. Hitler was a genious and i belive every1 above who agrees with me knows wht im saying!

hitler. that….thing….killed my people. he used smarts to do the most ignorant thing in history. so no, he isnt smart at all. everything he did was for the extinction of the Jews because he thought we were behind the Revolution and that we did nothing. Stalin was brave, but also dumb. but he wasnt ignorant to the level of Hitler.

I respectfully disagree with the notion that Adolf Hitler was a genius. I don’t believe he had the capabilities to survive in a society that was prosperous and stable. The reality of the Nazis rise to power often involved a little luck and a lot of reliance on the disillusionment and desperation of the German people. He was a great orator, but there was nothing genius about his rise to power. Of the two, I feel compelled to answer Hitler since he had a much more direct impact on my own life.

Stalin. Hitler was a master of comedy.

Keep this in mind…throughout the war, Hitler listened less and less to the suggestions of his very brilliant and capable generals. Stalin, on the other hand, listened more and more to his advisors. Neither of these men were geniuses, but I think Stalin was certainly no idiot.

Hitler may have been a genius but he was also a monster who killed millions of innocent people. There is no excuse or justification for that. Stalin was just a psycho in my opinion

Adolf Hitler was certainly charismatic.

My studies have pointed to a Hitler who was a poor tactician and strategist. Had he followed advice of his generals he would have been a more formidable enemy.

i feel sorry for all the jews and other people he had exterminated just because he thought he could create a super race

i am also part german and i say that hitler was no genius but this is a controversal subject

Contrary to popular opinion in some Western countries, German schools do not ignore the Nazi period or the Second World War in history class. It certainly wasn’t ignored in my primary school.

well i learned a lot about it at my elementary and middle schools but i live in america

Yes. One historian (I can’t recall the name) said the Eastern Front of the Second World War was a situation where the two largest armies ever mobilised were being commanded by two men with no experience in military leadership. I think that puts it in perspective!

Don’t they teach kids history these days? Stalin had almost absolute power in Russia and was responsible for many more deaths than Hitler. Stalin’s reign in the USSR lasted almost 30 years. Stalin’s push for modernization caused mass starvation and he had no problem with simply killing his political enemies and ethnic minorities he didn’t like and working large numbers of people to death in labor camps.
