I was told told that moisterising and hydrating are similar but different.
Hydrating (balances out oilyness and dryness) Mositerising (gives moister to dry skin)
help me get the proper definitions please ^^

From what I concluded on these websites, hydrating is to restore fluid for balance and mositurizing is to restore moisture for any purpose.
When it comes to cosmetics the terms mean whatever the marketing department in question wants them to mean.
