What's the difference between a recognition and a graduation?

When you get recognized, your simple being awarded for a certain something you have done well at or have went above and beyond in. When you graduate you are having a ceremony where it means you are done with high school, or college or whatever, although sometimes you can get a recognition in the graduation.
