I think the differences are pretty obvious - this is Q&A social networking site, whereas Twitter is mainly a place to post random ramblings and spam. Here, you make actual friends, not just list-warmers, and FunAdvice has initiatives for being a valuable member of the community.

Twitter is a social network, the main purpose of twitter is NOT to make friends, but to share, and get updates on the information that interests you most. Example, if you love soccer, on twitter, you can follow many profiles that are interested in soccer too. Funadvice is a community, a Q & A site, A place you can get, and give advice on what you have great knowledge of.
