Pls help me out with my assignment, How does diesel and nuclear power station operates? (in details), and their advantage and disadvantage.
Weeeellll I can help with the nuclear one :D with a nuclea reactor there's the chamber the core and the cooling rods in the core they usually use uranium for the core and in the chMber they bombard the uranium with hydrogen ions to speed up the process of alpha decay wich produces energy always remember u can't destroy matter! It's gets converted into energy! And the cooling rods are filled with cools water usually from a river or ocean. When the core becomes heated they flood it with water in order to lower the temperature and prevent a nuclear meltdown, nuclear power provides more jobs and doesnt produce green house gases of any kind but it can cause serious side effects if there's a melt down. Wild life is usually destroyed and it produces alot of nuclear waste which can take 100s of years to decay depending on the element or ion used in the reactor. I really hope this helped!
