hold on there man!
Diabetes is not just ONE general disorder its more than that, depending on the type of diabetes : Type 1 diabetes: results from the body's failure to produce insulin, and presently requires the person to inject insulin. (Also referred to as insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus, IDDM for short, and juvenile diabetes.)
Type 2 diabetes: results from insulin resistance, a condition in which cells fail to use insulin properly, sometimes combined with an absolute insulin deficiency. (Formerly referred to as non-insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus, NIDDM for short, and adult-onset diabetes.)
i think just by reading the simple definition you should understand that YOGA and MEDITATION DO NOTHING!
Yoga and meditation can help, but it certainly isnt going to keep diabetes under control by itself. Firstly, type one diabetics are insulin dependant, and no amount of yoga or meditation is going to get around the fact they need to inject insulin. Secondly, type two diabetes must be diet controlled. Being active helps, but the main focus should be on what foods you are eating.
Diabetes can often be controlled with healthy eating and a healthy life style. Both meditation and yoga are excellent ways to help with many health problems. Assuming the Diabetes isn't too extreme, through a healthy life style medication can often be discontinued or at least minimized.
I said meditation and not medication. There are enough sources available regarding yoga which does cure so many of our health problems
By medication- Yes. Yoga?? I have never seen anything in any medical literature about that.
