Is there a delete button for the questions that we ask?

There are two reasons why you can’t delete your own content:

1. If given the opportunity, most members would choose to delete old questions that they no longer require answers to; however, in doing so, it would leave FunAdvice with very little actionable content, rendering the site fairly useless and difficult to find through search engines. This would have caused FunAdvice to fail completely a long time ago.

2. Allowing members to delete their own content causes security problems - as it has been proven in the past - when a member would use derogatory or offensive behaviour, abuse, and threats, only to delete the content afterward leaving no evidence that the issue ever took place.

So, we apologize if you think our policies are dumb, but we try to provide the services that are best for the general welfare of our members here, even if that means not allowing some simple freedoms like deleting your own content.
