How do I cure writer's block?

I always get writers block!!! HELP!!!

Answer #1

You can’t just “cure” it. Write journals about your day. Get inspiration from friends, news, video games, books movies. Just write about anything and you will eventually have your creativity gears going at full speed. Write about experiences, goals, people and things that you wish existed. The more you write the more your brain gets churning out ideas.

Answer #2

The thing is I have to write a futuristic story by taking an issue of today, making it extreme and then create a story from that. All I have come up with are cool inventions of the future. I need to find an issue and I need to make it extreme!!!

Answer #3

It’s not a disease, so you can’t exactly “cure” it. Try writing out a list of things you want to include in your paper. Try taking a shower or going out for a walk. Sitting at your computer, banging your head against the desk because you have writer’s block isn’t going to help at all, trust me.

Answer #4

Are you kidding me? I think of the future and all I think is hell. Ozone layer getting destroyed, deforestation, food chains getting messed up, ecosystems pulverized… There are so many issues for the future that are being caused by today’s society… That is a pretty easy assignment.. So much to be creative with.

Thanks.

Answer #6

See Colleen’s profile (administrator pumpkin) she has a recent tip on there about that.

For me (song writing) It’s more about what you take away. I write what I’m thinking and just let it flow (YOU CAN”T FORCE IT, it doesen’t work) Then, you start piecing together what you want until it becomes something. Easier said than done I know.
