Crochet pattern help

Help me, please!

I’m doing a turtle shell and this is step 6:

2 sc in 1st sc, sc in next 4 sc, 2 sc in next sc, sc in next sc, sc in next sc, slip st in next 3 sc, 2 sc in next sc, ( sc in 4 sc, 2 sc in next sc ) twice, sc in next sc, rep _ once, rep (-) (36 sts)

I got to the () and now have 15 sts. What do I do now?

And what the hell does rep (-) mean?

Ok, I asked my Mom, because she crochets.

This is what she said (I can’t tell if it will help because it’s like a foreign language):

In one of my guides I found this :” ( ) or [ ] -work enclosed instructions as many times as specified by the number immedeately following or work all enclosed instructions in the stitch or space indicated or contains explanatory remarks”

So in your instructions, it says rep(-) (36sts). That would mean , according to the instructions, repeat 36 times.

Thanks, but I finally found the answer. The rep(-) was to repeat what’s in the () and the 36 stands for how many stitches you have.
