Craig and me and the other girls

So, I really like this boy named Craig. He is two years older than me, and really sweet and amazingly hot. I used to double date with him a while back, he had his girlfriend and was friends with my boyfriend. And you know, we became good friends, even though I had a crush on him the WHOLE time. Now that both of us are single, I kinda want to take a chance with him.
I know that he is basically a complete player looking for some hook ups. But still at the same time he is just amazing. I get kinda mixed signals from him. Like, he will stop by before work just to talk, or put his arm around me or just give me a hug when I say something and get embarassed. At my birthday party he was really sweet and just gave me a little kiss goodbye. And well, people know that I really like him considering I have heard people from other schools asking me if I did (he goes to a school some five minutes away). So, Im assuming he knows too.
Im just wondering… where should I go from here? I dont want to waiste my time trying to get with someone that just wants to be my friend, or someone that to him, Im just another girl. I dont mean to sound concieted but I just feel like Im different than the other girls to him and I really like him, I just dont know how to really tell. Pleeeeeease Help!
