why are we going threw so much crisis right now? why are prices so high in new york where I live? why are so many people losing their jobs? why is pizza so expensive? why is everything so expensive? gas prices?! I dont understand why are we going threw this money crisis? someone explain to me please!
Short answer, we (both the country and individuals) have been living above their means for far too long.
People buy houses and cars they can’t afford and never pay them off. We get long mortgages then refinance them repeatedly so we never fully own it and often never build much equity. People trade in cars shortly after or even before they are paid off. Our country starts wars it can’t afford that actually make our lives more dangerous rather than safer.
We have built our house of cards so high that there was no way it could stand for very long.
