Best contacts to get and how much are they?

What are the best contacts to get and how much?

im not sure if you mean for eye correction or for cosmetic purposes but either way, see an optomotrist because the cheap coloured contacts you can buy pretty much anywhere can cause huge problems with your eyes.

The most expensive part is the initial eye exam and fitting. After that, it depends on what kind of contacts you get. I pay $120(NZ, not sure what it is US) every three months for mine (I get O2 Optics) and I find them really good because they have a very high oxygen permeability (basically, more oxygen can get to your eyes) so they are very comfortable all day. If you have contacts that prevent your eyes getting oxygen then you should only wear them 12 hours a day or the blood vessels in your eye can start to thicken and also they wont be as comfortable toward the end of the day. You also need to buy solution to clean them and for storage which you should only use for three months after you open the bottle.

If you have astigmatism then you have less choice available as to what type of contacts you can wear but there as some available.

You can also get “permanent” ones. If they are soft they only last for about a year though. If they are gas permeable (of hard contacts) they last for quite a few years but they are harder to get used to and more uncomfortable initially.

I personally prefer soft monthly disposables. My father likes daily disposables but they are more expensive (dont need to buy solution though) and my friend likes 30 day continous wear ones which are more expensive again.

Umm, I got my contacts from Eye care 1. they were pretty cheap. like 75 dollars for six months. But there 15 more dollars if you get color, and I got color so it might be less. It depends on what trial you get and where you get them from. Contacts usually aren’t that much.

about 75, 80 dollars

Contacts vary in price because of the brand and prescription. Quality only depends on your eyes and how well they adapt. Your eyes will feel different depending on the type of contacts and contact solution. The only thing you need to look for is comfort.Try a trial pair at any glasses store and see if your eyes are irritated or itchy, mind you they take a little getting used too but after an hour with them in your eyes you should adjust until you can’t even feel them. If you still feel uncomfortable after an hour take them out and try a different brand of contacts. Repeat until you find the right ones for you!
