American’s overall are a generous/kind people - you’d be accepted here, if that’s the question.

I never give it a second thought really, I personally enjoy meeting new people from different background and ethnicity.

and from what I know. there are many programs that one could use to help them feel their best in a new school.

in all, in California and in my own opinion, we treat everyone the same. like a person.

yet, sadly, I know that other parts of the usa is still considered Racist to an extent.

you don’t have to be a poser to be in.., you just have to be your self… and don’t mind them… prove those people that you are a good person, in and out and in academics… don’t mind much about it… it is just a part of the challenge… do what you gotta do, and fullfil your goals in life… :-)

The college I went to had lots of international students. Lots of them were from Kenya because of the conflict that’s been going on over there. I work with one of them a lot. She is a student at the nursing school where I work. We typically try to help accommodate her needs. It is also very interesting to hear her views on society. A lot of the times what we feel is oppression towards women, she will see as a nurturing role that only a woman is fit for.

In college it is a lot different than in high school. People aren’t as focused on getting and keeping friends, they are here to get their education.
