I agree. My first college English class was insane, my teacher was like Hitler. She was just awful, she expected way too much from people who had 3+ classes+work+kids+life...it was just crazy. My second (Composition I)was good, 2 Essays, 1 research paper, 5 short essays and 1 project. Simple A. My third (Compsition II) was AMAZING. I loved it. My teacher was the best (and good looking) he enjoyed his job and was very relaxed and cool to the class. He had us do 1 research paper that we knew about from the beginning and was not due until the end of the semester, we then spent 80% of class time reading great plays and books. Oedipus and Hamlet. It was just great!!
I did in the first and last ones I was in. The first one (I ended up dropping because the teacher was nuts) her exams were INSANE, they covered every little detail and half of the info we never covered. The last was super easy exams, he pretty much would quiz us on lectures he gave in class, which as long as you showed up, you'd get at least a B on the exam. His final was multiple choice on Hamlet, he did quotes, then would ask who said it. Most of which were self explanatory.
All depends on the teacher and what exact type of English class you are taking.
My basic English 101 had a 2 large-ish papers we had to write, along with some regular homework dealing with grammar, and then there was a few test on grammar. Plus there was a participation grade for just showing up each day and pay some attention.
English classes I have taken at university have been assessed by tests, exams, essays, and creative writing. It depends on what English class you are taking, and the university you go to. You cant just assume a particular class is assessed in a certain way.
was it easy ur english class or hard
