its all about how you portray it but (looking at the cover of the album) im guessing its about napoleon a metaphor for the u.s maybe?

People usually see it in two ways:

That it’s not about being an actual king, but someone in a position of power who is then thrown OUT of power, and begins to appreciate their freedom more because of it. They realize being all high up wasn’t as great as he thought it was.

Or, another interpretation is a religious one. There are many biblical parallels in the song, so it could be mirroring Jesus when he says “king.”
