May I close a question if I no longer need the help that was asked for?

Shoot, I just wish to not waste the members’ time if I no longer need a question to be answered.

No. And right now, it doesnt look like there’s a close option at all. You’re not wasting their time. You’re not the only person who will ever read the question. Who knows if other people’s answers will help someone else out?

No you can’t. You wouldn’t be wasting member’s time because one day somebody might have the same problem as you and can search and find your question already answered instead of taking the time to ask it themselves and wait for answers. Always answer questions even if they were asked months ago. You may not be helping the asker anymore, but you could help a future searcher.
